Platform models are behind many of the hugely successful digital businesses of the past decade including eBay, AirBnB, Uber and more. Understanding the opportunities and challenges they bring with them is a must for all managers interested in creative strategies and strategy in general.
ESCP Business School and its Creativity Marketing Centre hosted an exclusive panel discussion on the topic of “Platform Strategies”. Our speakers were four leading experts in international marketing and entrepreneurship including Laure Reillier, Director and Co-Founder, Launchworks Ventures and co-author of the upcoming book Platform Strategy; Fiona Disegni, CEO, Rentez-Vous; Sebastian Steinhauser, CEO, Parcelly; and Sam Kopelman, UK Manager, La Belle Assiette, shared their experiences and compare their models across sectors.
The event took place on 1 February at 7.00pm at ESCP Business School ‘s London Campus. The discussion was followed by a drinks reception, allowing attendees the opportunity to meet the speakers, our new Executive Master in Marketing and Creativity participants, a distinguished cohort of marketing executives with experience across a wide range of industries and regions. and network with other like-minded people.

Our Speakers
Laure Reiller
Laure Claire specialises in product and marketing development for innovative high growth companies and platform businesses/ ecosystems.
Previously Laure Claire held a range of general management and senior B2B/B2C marketing roles in high growth environments. At eBay, she led the execution of growth plans for consumer and business sellers in Europe. At BT Retail Consumer, she launched new VoIP consumer products. She also built and launched new software products for start-ups, working closely with VoIP and mobile service providers.
Fiona Disegni
Founder and CEO of Rentez-Vous, the Peer-to-Peer and Designers Fashion Rental Marketplace. – London Leader 2013-2014 Programme rewarding sustainable projects in London set up by the London Sustainable Development Commission. She holds an MSc in Marketing and Creativity from ESCP Business School and MSc in Risks and Quality Management from Sciences-Po Rennes.
Sebastian Steinhauser
Sebastian Steinhauser is the CEO and Founder of Parcelly, the smartphone app that puts consumers in charge of their parcels. The unique mobile app converts local businesses or private individuals into parcel collection points, compatible with any online retailer or carrier worldwide. Before moving into consumer products, Sebastian spent 6+ years in London’s City with some of Europe’s leading financial institutions. Sebastian also gained experience in different strategic positions in Germany and France and holds a triple accreditation in International Management from ESCP Business School.
Sam Kopelman
Sam is UK Country Manager at La Belle Assiette, Europe’s leading platform for booking private chefs.
After graduation, Sam joined Rocket Internet for two years, first as Global Venture Developer, followed by Country Manager and then Regional Head in Eurasia. Last year, Sam led the global sales team at Movinga, Europe’s leading online provider of removals, before joining La Belle Assiette in September.
