London Professor Awarded Best Conference Paper Prize at the Global Marketing Conference
We are delighted to congratulate Minas Kastanakis, Assistant Professor of Marketing at the London campus, who was awarded the Best Conference Paper prize at the 2012 Global Marketing Conference in Seoul, South Korea on 21st July. His win is even more notable given that it is the second time Minas has taken this prestigious award.
2012's winning submission was the intriguingly titled 'The Three Faces of Conspicuous Consumption: to Belong, to Differ, to Outspend'.
This award "recognizes the conference paper that most
effectively pushes the boundaries of our existing knowledge in the
field. The criteria for the award are based on the extent to which
the paper crosses boundaries, challenges taken-for-granted
assumptions in the field, denies old truths, attracts the reader's
attention and makes an original argument."
Congratulations to Minas for his outstanding achievement!
