This past summer, a group of ESCP Europe students from the MSc in Marketing & Creativity postgraduate programme (MMK) travelled to the Philippines to work for a grassroots NGO, called Gawad Kalinga, started by Filipinos for Filipinos to end poverty through an inclusive sustainable development approach.

Their mission? To engage in a social impact project that would reframe daily challenges into opportunities and ultimately drive innovative change in the Philippines.

Many may wonder why a postgraduate course focused on marketing and creativity would encourage its students to travel overseas to engage in social development missions. The directors of the MSc in Marketing & Creativity introduced the concept in its very first year in 2010, when a dozen students travelled to Uganda to help support local organisations.

'How to Think Strategically: Your Roadmap to Innovation and Results'  by ESCP Europe Professors Dr Davide Sola and Dr Jerome Couturier, has been shortlisted for this year's Management Book of the Year prize, announced on 19th November 2014 by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the British Library.

The 24-strong shortlist for the overall £5,000 prize, which is sponsored by Henley Business School, shows that managers are wrestling with big questions about the role of business in a changing world and the nature of leadership needed for 21st century success.

One of the main tenets of the MSc in Marketing & Creativity programme at ESCP Europe is - as the programme's name suggests - a creative mindset.

This is absolutely embodied in one of our current students, John-Michael Sookias, currently completing his last term on the programme at the Paris campus and due to graduate in 2015.

The Creativity Marketing Centre at ESCP Europe is delighted to congratulate Fiona Disegni, Founder and CEO of Rentez-Vous and MSc in Marketing and Creativity Alumni, for winning second prize in the 2014 Decoded Fashion Milan competition.

Presented by e-PITTI.com, the winners were announced on 22nd October at La Pelota in Milan, Italy.

The judging panel for the 2014 Fashion Pitch category was led by Stefano Rosso, CEO of OTB, the parent company of Diesel, Maison Martin Margiela, Marni, Viktor&Rolf, Staff International and Brave Kid.

The Creativity Marketing Centre (CMC) @ ESCP Europe hosted the 2014 Spring Research Camp on Consumer Creativity on 9 June, 2014 at the ESCP Europe London campus.

Dr Marie Taillard, Director of the CMC, and Dr Tom van Laer, Assistant Professor at ESCP Europe and conference chair, welcomed participants and delivered the opening remarks.

The event brought together more than 100 leading international scholars from the most prestigious organisations in Europe and beyond, working at the intersection of creativity, marketing and consumer behaviour. 2014 Master in Marketing & Creativity (MMK) participants also attended the event.
